What it is
Wi-Fi without the password dance
A Wi-Fi QR code holds your network name, password and security type in a standard format that iPhones and Android phones understand. Guests open the camera, tap the notification and they're online. Nobody has to read a 16-character password off a chalkboard or ask the staff to repeat it.
That makes it one of the most useful codes a café, hotel, office or holiday rental can put on the wall. It also means you can use a long, properly secure password without making life hard for the people who need it.
Your password is sensitive, so this tool never sends it anywhere. The code is built in your browser, the page makes no request with your details, and nothing is stored once you close the tab. You can choose whether the printed card shows the password in plain text as a fallback for older devices.
How to use it
Connected in four steps
- 01
Enter the network name
Type the SSID exactly as it appears in the Wi-Fi list. Capital letters and spaces count.
- 02
Add the password and security
Most networks use WPA/WPA2/WPA3. Choose "No password" only for open networks.
- 03
Download the card or code
The card reads "Free Wi-Fi, scan to connect" and can show the network name and password underneath.
- 04
Test with two phones
Scan with an iPhone and an Android phone before you print. If it connects on both, it will work for your guests.
Use cases
Where it saves the most questions
Cafés and restaurants.
Guests ask for the Wi-Fi within minutes of sitting down. A card on the table answers before they ask.
Hotels and guesthouses.
Put it in rooms, at reception and in the welcome pack, so guests are online before they unpack.
Holiday rentals.
Frame it next to the door. It's one of the first things guests look for, and one less message to answer.
Offices and coworking.
Give visitors the guest network without handing out the password to the main one.
Events and clinics.
Waiting rooms, conferences and shops where many people need access for a short time.

Questions
Guests who connect to your Wi-Fi are already on their phones, often looking you up. Make sure what they find, your website, your rooms, your booking page, is as easy as joining the network.
